If you have not visited Kim's Art Shop, you can find lots of interesting Z Scale projects there, that you may not know about.

    Kim's Art Shop

Kim has a collection of projects and videos showing all kinds of animations, sound effects, and electronic flywheel solutions for DCC, as well as custom laser cut projects he had done.

One of my favorite projects is the cap installed after the bridge rectifier of a DCC Decoder which stores enough power to allow the trains to run over dirty track or to help locos with intermittant electrical pickup. There is a video showing the locomotive run over a few inches of tissue paper without stalling.

There are other interesting things to look at, all presented in a "Wordless Workshop" fashion.

    Great job Kim! [IMG]

    Thanks Rob,
Many projects there are from inspirations from my visits to your garage including the Laser.

I have visited, and spent way too much time gawking at all the cool Z projects.

Between the two of you, the left coast is becoming the Z scratch capital of the world......

    :D

Keep up the great work, and don't forget to SHARE!!
