UP_Mike, Your question isn't my area of specialty, more like the blind leading the blind, so I will post a request to help you, and you should get an answer in the next 24 hours.
Mike, If you can copy your plan as a file, you can e-mail it to E-8 (Charlie). He can post it for you from there. We are working on software to allow the membership to post their own photos, but it's not quite ready for the general membership yet. But I don't think it will be much longer.
The ability to post photos here (without having to have a website) would be greatly appreciated by many of us.
mike, we are currently working on software to enable members to be able to post pictures onto the trainboard server. If you have a file you would like posted you can email it to me and I will post it here for you. My email address is railroad2000@trainboard.com
OK Here goes what I do. Take the plan get it on screen. Put the "magnifaction" at a size that gives the plan, but not lose your details. Save it as a .BMP (RTS allows that). Now you go to a program that allows you to view different image files. I have one called Thumbs Plus (SWEET Program). In that program open the .BMP and save it as a .JPG, or .GIF either type does fine. Do this by going to SAVE AS under the FILE Menu; usually. The file size will decrease more once it's saved . Simply put, that's because .JPG and .GIF handle images better. Now getting it here on the board... Weelll... I'll leave that to the others that post images here. There... I think that's easy enough. If not... Hmmmm... E-mail me
Well UP MIKE if you have followed the how tos to create the jpg file and are looking for a place to store pictures for you free and without having to create your own web site then you can do that at. Fotango You will have to register then follow the instructions carefully. Thats where I store all my pictures now as I gave up waiting for TB to get their picture hosting as it has been talked about for over a year now.
Robin ... we are just about there! I would venture to say the photo uploading feature for Trainboard will be open to the general membership by the end of the month. Administrators and staff have been working the bugs out of it for the past two weeks. It's really a nice software.
