Craig, I just have one question: <marquee>Why the hell did you paint a Vomit Bonnet?!?!?!?! </marquee> Just Kidding!!! If I'm not mistaken, that's an SD70MAC, which you must've converted from an Atlas SD60M. I think one of those would look good in the BN Cream and Green scheme. Also, I think that's supposed to be silver (as in ATSF silver) not Cream (or is that the picture?). ------------------ Corey Lynch Pres - Rensselaer Model RR Society, NEB&W RR http://www.rpi.edu/~lynchc/Railfanning/railfanning.htm - My Site http://www.union.rpi.edu/railroad/ - NEB&W [This message has been edited by Harron (edited 25 January 2001).]
No it's supposed to be cream! I don't think the model is actually an SD70 but more like a 60M just painted... i could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me...

Theoretically it is an SD60M shell but it WILL have the HTCR truck sideframes on it. So it falls right in between. ------------------ Craig Martyn Best Looking Models Around Custom detailing AND N scale detail parts. BLMA N Scale Detail Parts BLMAinfo@aol.com
Don't know if you guys understand what I am referring to. I believe the only prototype Vomit Bonnet was an SD70MAC that was basically warbonnet with green instead of red, to try and save the scheme with colors from both roads. If someone has a picture of the prototype, it would be nice to see it. ------------------ Corey Lynch Pres - Rensselaer Model RR Society, NEB&W RR http://www.rpi.edu/~lynchc/Railfanning/railfanning.htm - My Site http://www.union.rpi.edu/railroad/ - NEB&W

John, The macro function doesn't require a pinhole attachment - nowhere to put it anyway. Macro is selectable from the manual switch position and indicates when the lens is set at approximate equivalent of 75mm on a SLR. It also changes the focusing system accordingly to allow it to focus down to 20mm from the subject. Because it can take a photo up to 1600x1200 pixels, you can crop the image so you have a very close shot at a 'lower' resolution. Gary. ------------------ Gary A. The Real V-B is a SD60M, not a 70MAC. Second runner up in the UGLY BNSF TEST PAINT awards is the Vomit Pumpkin, another SD60M. ------------------ Brent Tidaback, Member #234 BNSF Railfan-to-the Max and a N-Scaler to boot! I stand corrected. I thought all the "test" painted loco's were SD60M's. I was told a LOOONG time ago all 70MACS were "hands off", as far as paint was concerned, except for the BNSF lettering. ------------------ Brent Tidaback, Member #234 BNSF Railfan-to-the Max and a N-Scaler to boot! All of these look great. I am also in the process of painting a Doodlebug. This will be for my buddy known as ten87. I will post pics of this as soon as it is a bit further along in the process. I also am painting an SD60M in the H2 scheme. This is almost done. It will be 9299, the only H2 painted SD60M. I only have small brush painted stuff left to do. Decaling came out real nice, if I do say so myself. Can't wait to show you all! [This message has been edited by Drew Aldridge (edited 28 January 2001).]
We all look forward to seeing it Drew ------------------ Regards Paul #1-Moderator & Member number 50 SPAD Investigator #1 ICQ 61198217 http://users.bigpond.net.au/railroad2000
I really wanted some City of Prineville boxcars for my N-scale layout, but I didn't want to pay the high price that these Micro-Train cars have been going for, so I painted my own. I started with Micro-Train undecorated boxcars. Here are the three that I have finished so far: ------------------ Rett
Here is a pic of my custom painted GeeP which was also posted to the freelance board RUSS The Hoffman Valley RR
howdy upguy----those custom painted city of prinville cars are very nice---what would you charge me to do one---thank you scott
At this point I'm not sure I'd want to do any for anyone else. If I did you probably couldn't afford it. I tried to buy one on ebay, but didn't win the auction even with a bid of over $100.00. That was my motivation for painting my own! I'll have to think about it long and hard before I part with any, but thanks for the offer. ------------------ Rett
This is a picture of a BNSF GP30 I painted a few months back. The picture qaulity is not very good, but the paint came out great!
