Hey Lynn! Over on the Southern Modeling Yahoo group a guy named Donny Dixon has done a lot of reproduction of Southern graphics. If I recall correctly, he answered a similar question by saying that many times the graphic designers/artists did the "fonts" in-house and there wasn't really a proper name to them like we have on our word-processors. This may not be the best info as I am going on memory, but I hope it gets you going in the right direction. Best Wishes, Dan

If you have some good pictures of the lettering you could try What the font to see what font comes close.
