I've got a LifeLike Proto2000 GP7 I plan on painting in Frisco colors, but I'm not sure what to use for stripping paint, as I'm not sure how the plastic will react. In the past, I've used 91% isopropyl alcohol on the LL N scale shells with success- will this work on the HO shells as well?

At the least, I want to remove lettering & striping, leaving the black paint- at the most, complete removal of paint is no problem.

    Suggestions, please?

91% isopropyl is completely safe for stripping P2k. Just put the shell in an airtight container full of alcohol (I like using large freezer bags), and the paint will eventually fall off in sheets.

Hmm...2 bottles of 91% isopropyl, a Ziploc bag, and a LL P2K shell.......should work. I used 91% isopropyl on an N sacle GP20 (LifeLike), and the paint came off quick. Sounds like I should have no problems with the HO shell.

    Thanks!! :D
