If nobody offers some ideas, you might try contacting groups such as the Train Collectors Association, Toy Train Operating Society, Lionel Operating Train Society, Lionel Collectors Club of America. They all have web sites. Surely they can get you started in the right direction.
You need to be a little more specific. There are a LOT of suppliers of parts. We all have our favourites. Boiler? Rods? E-unit? Tender? Drivers? Cylinders? I'll PM you the one I use mostly. Pretty sure I can't post it here as I don't think any of the Lionel vintage parts suppliers advertise here. Dave
I PM'd you the data for the outfit I use, yesterday. What is wrong with the e-unit? If missing, you need an e-unit. Otherwise, you order the needed 4-finger, 2-finger, and drum. Rods missing or just rusted? Not much to the tenders. Shell, floor, trucks...if a "W" has a whistle....usually all they need is OIL. Rusty rods....I use a medium and fine wire wheel, take the rust off (and usually the peeled chrome), you can paint them Pactra Steel, or Silver, or Aluminium. I like Steel. If the eccentric is broken, order a new one and rivet. Make sure the long screw isn't buggered or bent. Dave
