19 SEPT 2007 Good afternoon Bobatin. Larry at SCRS checking in from Branson, Mo (on my lap top). Yes, Railking (MTH) and Lionel trains are compatable. Mth has two lines of trains - Railking and Primier. The primier line is 1/4 inch scale. Both Lionel built "O" trains and MTH built "O" tains operate on three rail track, couple together ok and gererally operate ok on either's transformers - in convental mode. However, in the DCS mode adjustments are needed, I see where you live in Newnan. I was born and spent many years growing up next door in Spaulding County as well as Upson and Richmond Conties. One note, mid 1980's Lionel in the cheap sets ran on DC transformers. While you can run AC trains with DC, AC will kill the small DC motors. Ask me how I know. If you have the box they came in, it should tell you DC on it. Other wise, the track is the same and both are pretty good trains. Cheers, Greg
