    As pointed out at another site, the LIRR car that is on the ground is not a Ping Pong. That designation is reserved for the much older P-54 cars that got their name for the excessive sway they were known for at speed. The car in the video is a P-72 that dates from the mid-50's or so.

    I'm guessing crappy roadbed/rail, possibly a break. Don't think it was the rolling stock.
