From the Macon (GA) Telegraph, news on the CofG Consolidation: http://www.macon.com/2012/03/10/1939745/locomotive-in-park-may-draw-new.html During my past life as a travel tech, I spent the summer of 2006 in Macon, GA, and got a few shots of this locomotive. It looked pretty shabby then; IMO, it would be nice if it could at least be cosmetically restored. Since Macon is a CofG town, it would be a great reminder of this railroad and the city's rail heritage.
So much history has been lost. Too many of these have been scrapped. I hope it is at least cosmetically brought back.
