From the Sooner State Rails list in Yahoo!Groups:
Don't forget the large inland elevators like in Enid, Hutchison, Wichita,
    etc.

    grain shipments .....

Since NZ gain most of its North Island grain imports from AU we

Inasmuch as I don't like to revel in the misery of others (my last summer in western Colorado was bone-dry, with fires all over the place and a statewide ban on any open fires, fireworks, etc.), this could mean increased grain traffic to the US ports. Also, look for wheat-based products (bread, pasta, etc) to go up in price.

While I'm at it, here's a prayer lifted up for some rain for you Aussies and a few dry days for you New Zealanders.
