From the Sooner State Rails list in Yahoo!Groups: Don't forget the large inland elevators like in Enid, Hutchison, Wichita, etc. Terry On Sat, 23 Nov 2002 10:24:47 -0600 Clarence Matthews writes: > Yes, the shortfall of grain in AU and NZ could and most likely will > cause shipments from the US and Canada to increase. (grain growing areas) . The shortage will effect wheat products ie bread and stock feed. The NZ Standard loaf will rise 15% in December 02, AU will in effect be stopping its overseas grain shipments ..... Also, look for wheat-based products (bread, pasta, etc) to go up in price. While I'm at it, here's a prayer lifted up for some rain for you Aussies and a few dry days for you New Zealanders.
Now if New Zealand and Australia had a few SD40-2's they could easily move them danged rain clouds from NZ to Australia. We're praying for all you Aussies and New Zealander's ! [ 25. November 2002, 01:32: Message edited by: A&A 6183 ]
