I'm looking at doing a TTrak module with my hometown's depot on it. Unfortunately, it was knocked down a decade before I was born. I've talked to Blairline's Dale Rush and he was able to send me the following pictures of the Frisco Depot in Sarcoxie. The Blairline kits aren't very close. He thought there was somenone else who made one pretty close at one time. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

You may want to look into scratchbuilding it, as it wouldn't be overly difficult. A basic rectangle shape with board and batten siding, a simple roof and doors and windows.

It's a lousy picture, but I built this N Scale yard office some years ago. It was fun, didn't take long and it turned out okay.

You may need to go the scratch building route. Evergreen Scale Models has sheets of board and batten siding.

This looks like a good candidate for 3d printing or laser cutting some wood.

does anyone know if there is a site that would maybe have some generalized dimensional information for standard Frisco depots?

You might have to hunt down some old books - for example, I am in the planning stages of the "Little Book Cliff Railway/Book Cliff Railroad" which was an 11 mile line out of Grand Junction, Colorado with just about nothing available on the 'net on it, but I managed to find a book and it was packed full of good information and even detailed drawings of some equipment and buildings - almost down to the last board for some of 'em!

I don't know if the Frisco has a historical society but if they do you might want to inquire there. Here is a start:

Beast, you can get pretty accurate dimensions right from your photos using the ratio method. Do you know how to do that?

Beast, Another option is to kitbash existing models to get the look you need. An advantage is that the wall openings are already sized for the windows. Here are some suggestions from the Walthers catalog for 1-story model depots that you can kitbash:
    1. Walthers - Clarkesville Depot, plastic
    2. AMB Laserkit - Santa Fe #3 One-Story Depot, wood
    3. AMB Laserkit - UP Style One-Story Depot, wood
    4. Blair Line- Boston Depot, wood
5, Blair Line - Chesapeake & Ohio Depot, wood
    6. Laser-Art Branchline - Center Hall Depot, wood
    7. Depots by John - Class D3 station, resin
    8. Woodland Scenics Kit - Woodland Station, plastic
    9. Woodland Scenics Built Up - Danbury Depot, plastic

I think that the Laser Art wood kit probably looks most similar to your depot! My preference is to work in plastic as it is easier for me. So, I would start with Walthers or Woodland Scenics plastic kits. You will also be limited by what is available, good luck in your quest. - Tonkphilip

The Frisco.org guys will have a diagram of the floorplan for dimensions (probably). I used one to scratch build the depot from Scammon, KS.

There is also an AMB warehouse that you might bash two of for this project.
