Hi all, I am new to this forum and I am considering tearing down my 8x20 HO table layout in favor of a modular design. I am doing this because I plan on moving in the next two years or so and there is no way to get the 9x20 out in one piece plus I am getting board of just moving the engines back and forth in the yard/roundhouse area that makes up most of the layout. Anyway, enough about that layout and more about the one I want to build. I was thinking about a modular design mostly the standard 2'x4' dimension that I could easily take apart and move plus when I get board of one scene I can build another. My biggest hurdle is that I want to run big steam locomotives thus I need huge curves. I would also like to have a grade of 2% or more. Does anyone have any thoughts regarding HO scale articulateds, grades, and large radius curves on a modular design? :tb-biggrin:
