For those of you who like the Frisco (like me) the December issue of Trains is supposed to have an article on operations in Springfield, MO circa 1955. Springfield was the hub of operations for Frisco, and had the diesel shops and a good-sized yard there. I believe Model Railroader is also running something about Springfield as well- if you don't want to model the Frisco (in which case I condemn you to the Devil), you could get some good ideas for your own model RR. I haven't seen anything big about Frisco in Trains since the article "SY 3-8-80" came out- it was a 24-hour day at Springfield Yard.
