I may have started a thread on this once before, but that never really got started, so here we go again! The layout is 66" x 120". It can and will be raised to the ceiling, when not in use. I have NCE DCC, I will need to learn about turnout control and JMRI. LOTUS means Looks Ok To US, so it will be entirely fantasy. I am starting with passenger trains around the outside. I will eventually use the middle for freight and hopefully a roundhouse. The SP daylight will run along side the Hiawatha, various Amtrak trains, German Regio trains, Japanese commuter trains etc. I am going to use the space to play and to learn about layout building. There are some pictures below. The area is well lit and most of the control and observation will come from the left end of the layout. The perspective of the 3rd pic.

Any input is welcome, but my next step is going to be buying more track and running the electrical.I can raise it to make the electric work easier. Input I'm looking for, is are there any glaring issues? I know it kinda overfills the space, but I want to run LONG trains...

    Wish me luck
