Thought I would show how I make my control panels, as I have had to make another for Badger Creek.
I use 2mm plexiglass (Shatterproof kind) for making my control panels.
First I draw up the plan in a drawing program, then print it out twice, two pieces of plexiglass are used as a sandwich. Place on sheet of printed paper between the plexiglass and drill the holes through. Remove the first sheet and TRASH it. Clean up the plexiglass and insert the second print out and there you have a very nice looking control panel.

Yet another way of making control panels.
Nice looking piece of work Paul.
    And an interesting method too.

I will take the opportunity to show my way of making control panels as an alternative to Paul´s.
First I draw a plan on paper with a pencil.
Then I take a piece of 3.5 mm hardened masonite, place the plan on the masonite and mark all connection points between the track lines, and for the switches and LED´s with a needle.
Secondly I drill all holes in the masonite, clean it up, and apply a black selfadhesiv plastic sheeting. Next step is to do the track lines by stick on to the black background white 5 mm tape. Last I clean up the holes with a model knife and mount switches and LED´s. Here is the result:

My control panel os of similar construction to Pauls. I used plexiglass with the track plan painted underneath. First the layout was masked then the plexiglass was painted black then sections of the blocks were removed and painted different colours.

My next panel for the layout extension will most likely be similar to Pauls. I will print the tracks on my colour printer then overlay plexiglass.
