Well that sounds like the next best thing I have never been to Ohio... I have been all up and down the East Coast, from Canada to Florida, and as far west as Texas. Maybe one day.... (Maybe the next time I go to Pittsburgh, I'll sneak over into Ohio

    Harold,
Sure would be great if you could come to Ohio. Train watching is great here. The state is honeycombed with railroad lines--- busy, slow and dormant. I haven't begun to visit all the train watching sites here.

You guys are really making this trip sound fantastic! [IMG] I have business travel commitments and cannot make the Marion event. I would really like to though, especially to meet up with everyone and see some trains :D :D :D

Well, I hope to return again either in August, or around Thanksgiving depending on how things go around here this year.
Ed's lucky. LOL. He already lives in Ohio!!!!!!

Hi Harold, Sorry you are otherwise committed. Just don't get committed to the "funny farm". :D :D The good news is that we've got you thinking "Ohio". You'll be more inclined to make the trip up here now that you have "Ohio" on your brain. [IMG] A word of warning......... don't expect to cover it all in a day or two. There is just too much to see. And Ohio is a pretty good sized state. One trip will be plenty to whet your appetite for Ohio trains......... oops, don't mean to spread the word all over the Net. We Buckeyes like to keep our secrets to ourselves. We know you'll be in Marion in spirit on March 26. We'll think of you every time a train passes by.......... supposedly around 100 trains a day..... Take care, Ed

Sounds like you guys will have a fun time, I visited Marion on my US trip back in 2000, was a pretty cool place.

Lots of trains, liked the place a lot. In fact liked Ohio a lot, I bet not many visitors from the UK go to Ohio on holiday :D

Have a fun day there you folks! [IMG]

Which way from Cleveland? Been awhile since I been up home. Home? Even though I've been in Florida for 22 years I still think of Ohio as home. Anyways... Can't make it this round. Maybe in the summer like the other fella's. Actually maybe it'd be neat to gear something up for the entire group... Hmmm.... OH! By the way I'm from down on the Model Rail side, specifically N scale. :D ;)
By the way... My Grandpa (pop's side) and Great-grandpop's (Ma's side) both worked the B&O, one built the first rails. :D
