    Howdy All,

I'm working on a new track design, and it calls for a double slip switch to make it all work. I run DCC and have never tried any of Marklin's turnouts or track with DCC.

Does anyone have experience with the Marklin double slip switch with DCC? Any problems with locos like AZL's?

Thanks in advance for the help.

WB Tony, I have a double slip on my layout. For the most part, its reliable, and I havent had any problems with the SD70, SD40, C44-9W, F59PHI, and GP7. Just make sure you have short protection.

Thanks John... i plan to have short protection on the various blocks, but may add additional to this particular switch since its isolated and not sean.

I have never had the double switch work right, And have had the same comments from others on derailments. I do not include the double slip switch in any track plans because of the derailment issues. I tried straight tracks before it, with no avail, and even weighting on the cars does not seem to matter, however single axle and light cars de-rail more.

Same with me, I have the Märklin double switch in my 'German layout'. Eventually it started to switch unreliable and I have a couple of cars derailing al the time from start. (Haven'd used the layout for a couple of years though.) I won't install the double switch next time. I would stick to normal turnouts.
