Mexican railfanning

    I had no idea that there were so many different railroads in Mexico.

    Most of the mileage is in the first three lines (first two if the merger is approved). FVTM is more or less a belt line around Mexico City that handles all inbound, outbound, and yard movements for the 3 big roads that have access there. LFCD and CGR are very small industrial railroads. FPN is essentially only the small stretch from Tijuana to Tecate.


    Now we just need to get more Railfans in Mexico so we can see more photos of these lines.


    Railfanning or model railroading isn't a big time hobby down here. I'd be happy to post more photos but I'm about 125 miles from the nearest line. Here's a map of railroad lines in Mexico. I live in that big empty area on the Gulf coast between numbers 32 (Tampico) and 46 (Veracruz).
