Starting another thread to see if anyone out there can help me.
I am also adding another picture that may show the problem with the Micro-Trains kit better and my dilemma. I have to believe someone else out there purchased this kit and had the same problem.

The gear box lids are not correct for this kit as picture shows with actual lid next to it.
I have gone through all of my coupler kits and just don't have anything that resembles the lids that I need.

I am hoping someone out there may be more knowledgeable about the correct gear box lid that can direct me to a coupler kit I can buy to fix this kit.

I also went to Micro-Trains website and of all the kits on their website either do not have this style or do not show a good picture of the lids to purchase.

My kit is painted and ready for decals and weathering and this lid problem prevents me from putting more effort into completion.
Appreciate your time reading the thread.

[All of the lids I have appear to be reverse draft such as what Micro-Trains put into this kit]
Hopefully this picture displays the problem better.

    • In your other thread, Joe D Amato gave you the solution. Joe works for MicroTrains so send him a PM telling him you received the wrong lids and Joe will send you the correct ones.

I realize that, I had provided my address to him in conversation and have followed up again since.
I am sure he is too busy for a small event like this during the holidays.

Was hoping to receive a positive response in this thread with this new picture that may show the problem with better clarity.

I am not ready to butcher this kit car yet and make my own solution with a morphed coupler box. If I was able to figure this out in other pictures online or by rummaging through my coupler collection I would have not bothered the website.
