Model Railroading Days expands to three days this year at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, 300 Gap Road, Strasburg, PA. Friday 08/18/2023 and Saturday 08/19/2023 the Museum hours are 10 AM until 4 PM, Sunday 08/20/2023, noon to 4 PM. Many different layouts in many scales.
There are as many layouts that you can't see as what's visible here. There are at least 2 more HO layouts, one of them FreeMo, 2 more Hi Rail O, a Lionel on the floor layout, and we're supposed to be getting a TTOS display. Some action around the Capital PenNScalers NTRAK layout. I'll have some more pictures tomorrow.
Oh, that's nice! With a lovely blue GP30 as a neighbor, no less. Nothing like looking at model trains surrounded by hundreds of tons of big steel machines.
I agree 100%, there's nothing like running model trains surrounded by the 12-inch-to-the-foot scale stuff. I'm sorry I don't know how to put that into metric for our northern neighbors.
That's OK. It's all 1:1 to me! I didn't erase the Imperial/SAE system from my brain the day we went metric. I still figure gas mileage on my car in MPG.
Although it's Horribly Oversized, the group that models the Strasburg Railroad has done a great job of modeling the line. This is the Strasburg end of the line, with Museum model. The show continues today, Sunday, August 20, from noon to 4 PM. Regular Museum admission applies.
