Greetings, everyone, and welcome back! This week is chock full of good stuff, so let's get started! Jim Wiggin's ConRail unit is edging closer to completion: gpa captured the action at Tehachapi as a heavy upgrade Santa Fe manifest grinds around the Loop: Maandg filled the icing racks near the Red Star facility: More to come, don't go away now, ya hear?
Morten1996 is building a fantastic 1/8 scale version of the Aerotrain: Mikelhh needed some motive power quickly, so he pressed this grimy ATSF SD26 into service before it hit the paint shop: Wolfgang Dudler spotted a carload of lumber at the Salina lumberyard--think of how much benchwork for your layout you build with that much lumber! That's it for this week, folks!
Wow look at GPA's wide scenery:thumbs_up: Thanks for choosing mine. Mr B it's an ex Santa Fe unit that Guilford couldn't be bothered to repaint, based on prototype photos. Guilford purchased a bunch of them, and a couple of units even died before being repainted. Something I've always wanted for the layout :tb-biggrin: You can just see the blue line through the name in this shot: http://photos.nerail.org/showpic/?2...DE=&PHYE=&POMS=&PODS=&POYS=&POME=&PODE=&POYE=
Fantastic choices this week! That Aerotrain must be impressive in 1/8 scale. Mike, that SD26 looks like it got caught in a sewage plant spill... LOL... nice work - it's gorgeously filthy.
Ralph, welcome to Trainboard! Even though Espee never had AC6000's, I'm guessing in your world the SP took over UP, and gave all their Armour Yellow engines a Bloody Nose?
Actually you're right, I new this, but apparently no one told Broadway Limited when they issued this version. I saw this issue and knowing that they were wrong I had to have it anyway. Thanks Ralph
