The WP has been remembered quite nicely here lately. Atlas O has brought out a nice silver and orange WP GP-35. Weaver has joined with Petersen Supply to produce the WP VO-1000.

    Greg,

Great stuff. Do you have a picture of the O scale GP-35?

I have the orange and silver GP-35 in HO brass.

I model the WP in N. I'm still waiting for Atlas' N scale VO-1000. Currently, I have an Atlas GP40, GP35 and a GP7, along with a Kato A-B set of F3s. I have another GP35 that I'm going to paint as #3003, the only orange '35 on the system, and I'm collecting the parts for a WP Bicentennial GP40.
Unfortunately, I'm in between layouts, but hope to have something up soon.
I'd also like to see the GP35 you have. Be fun to super detail something big for a change!

When I see items such as that O hopper, and now those VO-1000, sure wish I had the space, and could afford the scale.....

    Yup. Definitely looks good!

Just curious- Does anyone ever simply cut off the simulated air hose from the couplers? Seems as though without that hanging down, the rest of the coupler would appear fairly realistic....

Yes, some do. I don't, since I will be operating on a layout that has magnetic uncouplers. If and when I get my layout up and running, I don't plan on using uncouplers and I may cut them off at that time.

Oh, that's nice... too nice! [IMG] If I only had the room..
I've seen some nice WP units in HO as well. I was thinking about getting one to super detail and use as a display loco.
