I won't ask anyone to guess where this is. It is within walking distance of the last "Where is this?" that I posted. The paint must be at least 33 years old. Anyone have any others? ;) [IMG]

    Hmmmm.
I'll guess that it is in one of the "Western" states that the Central roamed.

Hi John, heck no. It's in the state where I was born and you live. Set your index to show posts from the last 60 days and you will find the original "Where is this?" thread.

I forget the number of the traffic route over it, but it is above the Little Falls curve. (I almost fell over when I saw it for the first time about three years ago!)

Tom, that was my feeling as well upon seeing this bridge after 40+ years. The RR bridge carries the CSX over the former NYC tracks. The road below where the photo was taken is known as the "River Road" in Little Falls, and it eventually connects with 5S, I think. The road over the top of the RR is a connector to the Thruway, which originally had no exit at Little Falls, and is probably route 167 or 169. There is enough room on the sides of the top highway bridge, plus little traffic, to stop and photograph what used to be the NYC. :(
