The last stalls of the NP Pasco roundhouse have been torn down. Just read about it on railroadforums.com
Bummer. I'd guess that someone will call this "progress." Insofar as preserving history, although some is saved, overall this nation has to rate as "Dismal." I often wonder if we're the most destructive of our heritage, the world has ever known? Anyone hear rumors about the Ellensburg depot preservation group? Boxcab E50
It was dark when I took my power to the "roundhouse" in Pasco last night but the real roundhouse was deffinitly gone. It was in very poor condition and not being used as far as I could tell. Kevin
I read somewhere that the doors were very distictive with a certain pattern on them that made them NP unique? Maybe someone made off with a couple?
