Oh, I want to be there ! Sadly folks 12" to the foot railway work has prevented me from coming. You guys are going to have a ball I'm sure. Enjoy yourself while me and my team of lads replace a worn out clutch arm on a 'Hunslet' 0-6-0DH switcher and sort out the brakes on one of our 16 wheel Wellwagons. I SO wanted to explore the Shasta and Gateway Subs (well as much Oregon Rail action as I could fit in really) if I had made it. On the positive side allow me to present a short film of how we transport 'Cuyahoga'. I put it on Youtube just after we had done the London show. Food for thought on how I might get 'Cuyahoga' to next years event perhaps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_dJG6pFxzs With your indulgence, some time in the future, I will post a thread about some of the things that happen on the U.K Model railway show circuit. There are so many anecdotes that encompass both the heights of excellence and the depths of stupidity that I should keep you amused til' Christmas! KEV (Don't get too drunk!)
Sadly working on the 12" equals a foot scale has prevented me from attending too... Last night switching in the bowl(bottom of the hump) using a pair of RCL UP SD40's. Seen the Pan Am box car on the rip track.
Micro-Trains News? Did I miss something? Did MTL announce any thing new or in the works? Locos? New track pieces?
Alex, A new sectional track piece with a bridge attached is a new item coming soon. Don't now of anything else presently.
After the AZL firework of announcements MTL has to strech themself big time.... Joe, nothing else in the pipeline? What's about the E8/E9?
....some time ago I heard a rumor regarding a switcher and something for the end of the train....I was expecting some stunning new MTL constructions to be unvieled too . It is a kind odd that the 'competition' shows their fireworkZ at the MTL party.
We have a bunch of stuff in development, but want to be sure of release dates before jumping the gun. The E8 and E9 is progressing very well. Joe MTL
You are right, w'll have to be patient. I agree, unveiling new stuff with an open release date does not make sense and will eventually also disapoint the Zscale community.
Frank, this was not an MT Party, rather an Inter-National Z Scale Convention. A U.S. version of Altenbeken. .
