Here is a tool that is great for MT spring installations. If you have a hard time keeping those pesky springs from becoming airborne, this will grab them, and allow you to put them in the slot.
To make one, start with a hardwood finishing nail (other nails won’t work because they aren’t hard enough). Chuck it in a drill, turn on your grinder, and grind down the head to a basic ball shape.
