Just announced by NSN-II "POD Set Coming October 1, 2004 POD's or PRECISE OVERLAY DECAL SETS will be available on October 1, 2004. The first set is for MICRO-TRAINS LINE'S SUPERB ATSF AUTO RACK. Each POD will contain 12 sets of SIDESILL and END DOOR REPORTING NUMBERS that will enable modelers to enjoy running more that one of the ATSF series AUTORACKS. In the case of POD #1 - the reporting numbers will be printed in WHITE over a color correct panel that accurately matches the O.E.M. paint used by MTL and which is sized to completely cover the MTL printing on the car. Each POD has a Retail List Price of - $9.95."
Very clever and simple. It's funny MTL doesn't offer a un numbered model. Instead someone else has to provide correcting decals. Thanks for the update!
Not exactly correcting but decals to increase your fleet with correct numbers. I thought these would garner more response over here. Response on the A-Forum was also underwhelming. Thanks goodness that reservations are going well.
