    I'd forgotten all about that scheme. Wow, 14 years ago... And Family Lines equipment in the background.

    Yes, things were much more "colorful" back then... any trip to the CSX yard provided a variety of locos. The #554 to the right of the CSXT unit was still in SCL paint and number (all SCL GP38-2's were in the 500 series when delivered, and were renumbered by adding a "2" in front of their original number, making the 2500 series). On any given day, you could see locos in Clinchfield, L&N, SCL, Family Lines, Seaboard System, and more. I knew they were "vanishing roads" and was a major reason I started photgraphing as many as I did. Now, if I can just get all of those pictures organized, scanned, and posted [​IMG]
