I have a photo that exceeds the kb limit of 100. Mine is 125 kb. How can I reduce it here and then attach it to my thread?
Welcome to Trainboard Is the photo in a album at railimages? (see link below) http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/useralbums.php Other wise stand by some one will be here to help
Thanks NWILRR, No, I had nothing in the photo album at rail images. I'm relatively new here and still learning my way around.
Experiment. I am going to attempt to load a 148k jpeg from my own website. I know if the file is on railimages, it automatically gets downsized to fit here. Hmm, I guess I don't know why yours won't load, unless there are different rules for moderators. :tb-confused:
Larry, The limit (100K) is for attachments only, if you upload your image into RailImages it can take much larger images and then as you see above, you can then link those large images into a post. Take a peek at our Tutorials forum and then post all the questions you want here in this forum and we will help you learn how to take greater advantage of the site. :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin:
Larry- Is your photo uploaded to a web site? If so, you can link it in. Are you trying to upload to a web site such as RailImages? If you cannot see the tools for doing this, we might need to change your personal settings via My TrainBoard. Boxcab E50
i didnt know Chadwick Illinois had a model railroad club! that is awesome! I am in Clinton Iowa and getting into modeling HO scale, what does your club specalize in? what are the dues? I am very interested in joining!
To all of you, thanks... I see that Rail Images is my route to posting photos. I had wondered how it was done. Everyone's been very helpful.
Okay fellows, I did it! Thanks for your help. My latest acquisition, NP 2361, is now officially on Rail Images. Soon I hope to show a "work in progress" on my pike. I can also see that I've got to improve my lighting whenever I take shot of something (I don't have a lot of experience at taking photos of anything on my layout) but I can tell where I must improve. I noticed also an area where that subject is discussed in depth so I'll be visiting there as well. Again, thanks for all your assistance.
