    Thanks! I still have some more to do. I am going to have four small on/off rotary knobs to isolate four sidings, plus a connector for a controller. I also need to put in the detent bracket.

    I am thinking of staining the base black and painting the metal parts flat black.

    Getting closer to laying track!
    I stained the frame and painted the switches and control panel.
    The holes along the bottom will be for block switches.
    The main line and four sidings will be controlled by the on/off knobs.
    I ordered them and I am awaiting their arrival.
    The internal linkages will be installed along with the switches.
    I am making a jig to figure out how to incorporate Sumner's N scale gravity switches.

    So I've been pondering how to go about creating the road beds. Foam, foam core or wood "cookie cutter" method? Anybody have any thoughts?
