Probably a dumb question, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a N scale club, N track group, or round robin groups in the Erie Pa area?

Since my drastic lifestyle change (read divorce) I have been trying to get back into trains, but no space for my O scale or N scale even (small apartment).

Sold most of the O gauge stuff off. Have a small box of N scale but getting tired of running a loop on the kitchen table. lol

Not sure about N groups in Erie but if you are ever out 1 hour west on I-90 toward Lake County, Ohio, you are welcome to come and check out my little layout and run trains.

WOW! Isn't Erie, PA the home of the GE Locomotive Plant? I can't imagine there are no organized N scale groups there. In any event there are some groups that may be near you. There is the LENS group east of Cleveland. Here is there website:

    http://www.lensohio.org/NTrak/index.html

Then there is the Burning River club also in Cleveland. Here is their website:

    http://www.burningrivernscale.com/

There is also the Twin Tiers Ntrak group east of you. Here is their website:

    http://ttntrak.org/index.html

Not sure how close any of these are to you. There also is one in Pittsburgh but that may be too far.

Thanks all. Yeah, pretty much nothing in N scale here in Erie. And yes, I work at GE. :)

Oh well. Thanks for the replies.

    Hunter:
Don't know how close to Erie you're looking for,but give these a look-

    Gowanda/Collins NY-"Gowanda & Buffalo Model Railroad Club"
    www.gowandabuffalomodelrrclub.bravehost.com

Niagara/Erie counties-"Niagara Orleans Model RR Engineers"
"NOMRE" -a search on that term should give you the website...

Elk Valley Railroad Club, as close as your going to get to Erie, Permanent layout in clubhouse. I thought they were just HO, but I see they are also N. Not sure if they have a N-scale layout.

    Hazel Kibler Memorial Museum
    522 East Main St.
    Girard, PA 16417

If your interested you can do a search for contact person.

Well, nevermind. Apparently they are no longer active. Waiting for a call back to verify, but all contacts for the club are no longer active phone numbers.

Consider starting your own T-Trak club. It's the perfect solution for space limited layouts.
