Anybody know the history of N scale BEFORE the 1960's?

Apparently it has its roots in Europe in the early to mid 1900's. I would be interested in knowing more of how it came about BEFORE Arnold and the "Postage Stamp" models of the 1960's (i.e. the British, German, etc. influence of the 1920's, 30's, 40's etc.)

According to the N.M.R.A. web site at:

    http://www.nmra.org/library/avvids.htm

(about 1/5 of the way down the web page) it says: (and I quote)

"This interesting and informative clinic traces the history of N-Scale, from as early as 1903! Photographs of early imported train sets are shown which show the evolution of the scale itself..."

Apparently it is an hour long VHS videotape made by Jim Fitzgerald & Ben Davis.

    Anybody seen it?

(Thanks in advance for any truly helpful information about the earliest history of N scale.)
