I have several Bachmann 40' high cubes that MAY become high cube 50 footers like John Edward's "contraption". Any way most of these boxcars like to lean over quite easily either in the turns or in straight sections, How can I fix this?? will new wheelsets help?? (using manufacturer's friction bearings)

I carefully filed about .030" off the pivot points on the undercarriage flat as to lower the car. Some of the cross braces above where the trucks pivot can be trimmed out to make room for Micro-Trains trucks/couplers. The M-T low profile wheels clear with no need to trim cross braces.
I use 1/2"x 1/16" brass flat stock from K+S for extra weight. Glued right to the floor. The lower the car is, the less swaying. [IMG]
