    This thread covers a peculiarity of N scale engines, only; no other scale.

    The concept of this thread became somewhat controversial. Sizemore felt there was a need for adjustment to make them match the prototype. Others thought the IM units were just fine as they were. There were also opinions in between these. If you think they need adjustment of any kind, this is the place to look!

    Sizemore has posted his procedures for making adjustments to the Inter Mountain F7 engines in two parts on RailImages. Here is:

    Close coupling of these units is also addressed. There is a limited comparison of the IM units to other manufacturer's F-7s
