I Just finished a Republic Locomotive works Wood Chip Bin... my first attempt at a laser cut wood kit... I Like the end result but the legs were a PITA...:frustrated:

I also beat up an old Bachmann 40' Gon...

The chip bin is a nice looking piece, and the weathering certainly did go a long way towards making a Bman car look quite good.

First MP15AC casting was painted today. I love Tru-Color paint as it dries so fast. This unit was undec this morning !

Looking good Bill. Alas, I must stick to the ATSF and SP in 1951. Although the Milwaukee was my Dad's favorite railroad.

Carved one out of a piece of styrene. Not the best but it will do.

Very very nice ,Bill. And I'll second your comment on Tru-Color paints. With the demise of PolyScale, it's my new favorite.

The finish looks great. Do you plan on adding any details to the cab roof - the units like that I've seen have (at least) a horn and a/c unit on top, and honestly the poor thing looks kind of "naked" right now.

Looks great! What did you use to fade the green paint?

It was actually kind of an accident really... I have been experimenting with a product called tamiya weathering master along with various thin washes of water based acyrlics... I wasn't liking the results so I used some alcohol on a clean brush to tame it down a bit... unfortunately (or fortunately depend on your point of view) I accidentally used 99% instead of 50% alcohol and started removing the cars factory paint....

I decided to dirty up some more of my fleet too; washes and chalks and crayons. Nothing elaborate, quick and dirty, have several hundred of these to do. Kind of fun to do...

Tomix roundhouse. I’m taking pictures as I go. If it turns out well, I’ll post a thread on this.

Thanks Cedar, I have tons more to do.
Steve, looks like a nice project. I see you plugged the holes in the low roof and will presumably put the stack vents in the back part of the roundhouse, where they belong on a typical US style house. Have fun!

Nice work! Looks like a busy fleet, but not a bunch of refugees from a scrap yard.

Yup, that's the idea. I'm also adding clerestory windows, a boiler house, and a few other changes.
