NASA Crawlers ALCO powered

I was checking out a spaceflight website and came across this interesting article with photos including one of a large ALCO diesel inside one of the crawlers. Each crawler has 2 ALCO 2750 hp engines. Pretty cool if you ask me. I wonder if those big ALCO's are in "run 8" going up the ramp to launch complex 39? Here's the link:

The max speed for the crawler is 4 MPH. It was designed by a women.....
