This is the layout im planing for 9x6 around a backdrop in the center, im going for 2 Railroad companys on this part of the layout. ware the tracks exit at the bottom leads into stageing and the right lower corner at the top 2 tracks exit to later become an along the wall section that will connect back to the y at the bottom right. the top left corner on this phase i dont know what to do with. and my two town scencs (or what might be but dont have too be) prolly need some mods. any input or help would be great. i want operation and some mainline. not sure if i got a good balance yet?! the bottom left runing between the two lines i have a river but its not a must.. will change for better operation ideas. the scale is about 1=3" i dident draw my track to the scale though

You do not say what modeling scale this layout is planned for...HO? N scale? Z scale?

You mentioned the scale of your drawing as 1 (what?) = 3". Do you mean 1 square on the grid represents 3 inches?

If this drawing represents 9 feet x 6 feet for N scale, it looks like the curvature of the Y at lower right is unusually sharp in comparison to the curves at the top end of the drawn plan. Wye looks like it scales to 8 inch radius. Curves suitable for small streetcar in N scale. Curves at top about 15 inch radius, fair radius for N scale.

At points where you have several parallel tracks, which look like yards, track centers look to be 1" which is sideswipe nearness. Need to be about 1 3/8 track centers. 1 1/2 is common on N models, looks a little wide for proto appearance but better for fingerroom.

I gotta go cook supper to make a 7pm meeting. Happy planning.
