My books are down stairs, but IIRC, GN's cylindrical hoppers were natural aluminum. I don't think they ever were painted (other than stenciled and lettered) while under GN ownership. That said, it IS a beautiful car!
I tend to think that Uncle Will would not make these if they never existed ... let alone 6 of them. there are too many different ones yet to make to be going into fantasy ones at this point (like all the Canadian Grain cars)
I agree--I have a GN Color Guide to F/P Equipment, and I will look into it. I may be mistaken. If I had GN pictorials, I could better verify that. GN Big Sky Blue made it to PS-2 4740's, ACF 4650's, and a set of 3 ACF 2-bays. Other than that, I don't know of any more BSB hoppers. Take that with a grain of salt. I am not trying to rain on your parade, I just have too much to buy as it is, and I am trying to talk myself out of them..
Hello, Full Throttle is modeling a real car. There is absolutely a prototype for it. I do not have a picture but it is true. Also, yes, this is the 1st release where there are three sets of numbers in the same 2 weeks.
