I've had this camera for awhile...Fuji S3100...but found it to be a little intimidating. Finally took the plunge to see what I could do with it. Early attempts are encouraging, as I am no 'photo bug'. I was able to use the Kodax 'Easy Share' editing program, and it is very simple......This was the first photo......
Very nice, Marty! Just remember that you are wasting only electrons as you experiment, and electrons are very, very cheap, so you can experiment a lot! It's how I learned to master--or at least tame--my digital camera,
Marty , That looks real good . Nothing like a good digital camera and Adobe Photo Shop. They are marvelous together!! Mike
I have a Canon S2. It has "macro" and "super macro" in super mode you can put something right up to the lens glass and it will focus. The instructions even warn not to scratch the lens. When things are that close they are hard to light though, but still it's great for close-ups. I put the camera on a tripod and usually have the shutter open for a few seconds to suck in all the details. Here are a few I took: They are all scratch built/kitbashed in Z scale BTW. I use a program called XNview http://www.xnview.com/ to work on photos. The most common thing I do is lighten up dark photos, but it can do a bunch of things, and it's free!
Hey Chris, Not only do I like your cabooses also, but your modelling is great !!!!!!!!!! I've wanted to tell you that in the past & then you went"Z". I lost track.:teeth:
Chris , those are indeed some fine photos of some fine models. Do you work under a microscope or the camera lens? Mike
