I've seen mention of a new CGW book. Priced in the low twenty dollar range. But no other details. Anyone have some info about this publication? Boxcab E50
Where are the CGW fans??? Anyhow, I found out some limited info. "The Chicago Great Western Railway." David J. Fiore, Jr. Arcadia Publishing. Am not yet certain exactly what it covers. Anyone??? Boxcab E50
How 'bout this: http://www.amazon.com/Chicago-Great...=pd_bbs_1/102-9712303-7065711?ie=UTF8&s=books They have a feature to let you see the table of contents and index.
Hmmm. I'd actually tried Amazon, earlier today. When I clicked on that function, got a page not found error message. Guess I'll try again! Boxcab E50
Got that page to load. The price is right. Just waiting hear comments from the public. See if it's new material. I hope. Boxcab E50
Mike- Thanks! I'd been hoping for just this type of input. A question- Is the book essentially all Illinois? Boxcab E50
It looks to be good enough for the $13-and-change it sells for online. Just need to pick out another book from the same series and I get free shipping. Yay!
I was so busy looking at the CGW book info, I missed this! Does "same series" mean books from Arcadia? Or refer to the others shown on that page as similar in topic? There's another book from Arcadia I'd like.... Boxcab E50
No, you just need $25 of products before shipping or tax to get free shipping. You could have the latest Stephen Ambrose history or Jimmy Buffett album and still get it. Having two Arcadia books puts you in about $27 which is just safely above the threshold.
Ah. So it's anything Amazon offers. Cool. Now, my birthday is this weekend. Will it be possible to pry a few dollars from my wife's hands.......? Boxcab E50
