Understand completely. I've had some whiskey barrels I've molded and the amount of resin sure isn't much.......a lot less than 55 gallon or however much those barrels held.... )
David, Take pity on John, he asked about cinder blocks a long time ago and those are sorely needed. You da man to to it.
David, Have you tried a vacuum vessel instead of a pressure pot? I use it to get air bubbles out of latex mold pours. -James
Pressure and vacuum have pretty much the same effect. I pressurize all of my molds as well as the castings. All are bubble-free. It's just a matter of finding the best resin for each application. The slower resin yields much finer castings than regular resins. This becomes important for the 55-gallon drums because of their fine edges and details.
