That is a superb close-up! And the depth of field is excellent. Good camera and good photography (plus excellent subjects) [IMG]

Charlie- nice picture! Nice camera too. I used a Nikon CoolPix camera at my old job, but it was a model or two younger than yours. What I enjoyed about that camera was the way it was split in 2 and you could swivel the lens without moving the lcd screen. This made it easy to take handheld pictures above eye level.

What kind of lighting setup did you use? Did you just use the regular light setup that exists in your room and get lucky enough that it looks really nice? I like the way the light kinda glows off the top of the cabs.

Anyway, thanks for posting the picture, I look forward to seeing some more!

Here is my two cents about digi cams. Like a lot of you I shot 35mm for years. I got tired of waiting for the pics to be processed but I could not afford a digi cam. About 3 years ago I went to work for a company that set me up with a complete home office, chair, desk and so on. They also wanted me to be able to take picture for installation manuals that I wrote for them. They ask me what kind of digi cam I wanted. Not knowing much about them I bought a Sony Mavica. It uses a standard three and a half floppy to store pictures on and also does video. It holds up to 15 pictures and 60 seconds of video. When I was laid off by the company I got to keep all the goodies they bought for my office including the camera. I have used it all this time. The best thing I like about it is that I don't have to have any other attachments to see the pictures, just out of the cam and in to the computer. It takes great pictures and I have never had a problem with it. :D
