Does anyone have specific information on the Bridgton & Saco River Railroad? I would like to know when it was reorganized/renamed to Bridgton & Harrison Railway. As close as I can get, is early 1930's. Circa 1931-1933?

The Bridgton and Saco River Railroad was sold to the Bridgton and Harrison Railway Company on 15 June 1930. On the very first day of operation, Number 8 flopped over on her starboard side on the Harrison branch when the original 35 lb rails spread. The Harrison branch was abandoned shortly after, so the Bridgton and Harrison actually never went to Harrison.

I spent a small fortune on books before I started building anything ... and Mr Observant just noticed that this thread is ten years old!

    Respectfully,
    Bob S.

True, it has been in archives for a while. But that is why we archive topics. The end result is that I now have an answer to my question! Thanks, Bob!

Wish I had such a library, but finances here do not allow it. In fact, I have had to part of some of what I have, to advance a few HOn30 projects. And pay a few bills. :(

While I think of it, by chance do your books also show the official abandonment date? I have a note here of circa September, 1941?
