anyone else notice the performance of the F7b dummies. I got my CN AB set today and was surprised as it did not drag along with locked wheels behind my a unit and it seems to have a newer chassis than my older ones still won't fit over an A chassis but I can fix that.

    Hi Garth

I'm waiting eagerly for mine and that news is very encouraging. I wish there was a way to lighten up the two CP dummies I have now. I'm sure that what you describe as wheel lock up, is happening with mine, making them so difficult for the A units to pull. I'm going to try out my CN's as soon as they get here.

I hope to do something more like a freight car truck for those B units...also looking at tooling modifications so we could slip a powered A chassis in there...Keep you toes crossed.

Mr. Joe...do you have any information on the B units being different than old one? I bought some B unit for other road names and they do not roll smoothly. What is wrong? I not understand why they bind with their wheels. Have ye fixed this?

The only solution for my CP F7B's was to power them, which is what I did. I like the idea of mofifying the tooling to get a b shell that fits over the power unit. I think that would extend the life of the F7 and a slight mod to existing GP chassis and you could have an FP7A or FP9A lots of options will be interesting to see what comes before I have to hang up my spurs.
    cheers Garth
