This afternoon, while out & about in "Junction", I spotted an EMD SD60 demo, a test car, AND my first spotting of a flared SD70M, number 4617. The flared radiators on the back are reminiscent of the SD45s Rio Grande used to have here, but they're not as acutely flared out as the SD90s and 9043s. Speaking of 9043s, class unit 8000 was part of a six-unit power consist being readied to head out on an eastbound coal train.
Bob, that would be 4637. Supposedly from 4710 up they are all supposed to have flares to comply with the new emission regs. It hasn't been released yet, so we'll see.
