I've recently got back into the hobby about a year ago thanks to my Dad taking me to a local train show where he's a member of an O gauge club. So far I've been working on a double loop, 2-level layout on a 4x4 size base. It's been fun but difficult for me since I was using only flex track and some of the curves can get tricky! I've built up quite a collection of rolling stock and loco's. So far I have an Atlas Soo Line GP-9 and 2 nearly identical Kato BNSF C44-9W's along with about 25 rolling stock cars mixed Atlas Trainman 3-bay hoppers, beer can tankers and Micro-Trains coal porters. The coal porters are interesting as I can't find anything like them on the internet... but I got 9 of them at a train show for $65. Just here looking to see what I can learn to make a fun hobby even more enjoyable! Nate
Hi Nate, Welcome. I agree that it's a "fun" hobby, also relaxing, stimulating, challenging, rewarding, and a few other things I can't think of at the moment. There's lots to learn here on Train Board. Also lots to contribute because you may have a different perspective and see a solution the rest of us don't. Happy New Year.
Welcome aboard Nate! Sounds like your off to a great start. Have fun and see ya around the N Scale Forums. Happy New Year Glen
