I'm passing along this bit of news from the Loconotes group at Yahoo. Might turn out to be an interesting heads-up for railfans from Erie, PA to, say, either Kansas City or Shreveport, LA. At the NS General Electric Wesleyville, PA interchange track: 9/24/07 Union Pacific C44ACCTE (builder plate states AC4400CW) #5783, s/n 53550, b/d 2-02 9/25/07 Kansas City Southern de Mexico ES44AC #4714, s/n 58162, b/d 9-07 {Southern Belle paint} Kansas City Southern de Mexico ES44AC #4715, s/n 58163, b/d 9-07 {Southern Belle paint} Kansas City Southern de Mexico ES44AC #4716, s/n 58164, b/d 9-07 {Southern Belle paint} Kansas City Southern de Mexico ES44AC #4717, s/n 58165, b/d 9-07 {Southern Belle paint} Not sure which railroad serves this interchange, but keep a lookout for these new RetroBelle GEs!
Saw 4 or 5 of them on NS 309 last night and one plus a few undecs on 309 a few minutes ago. They looked great! Couldn't get any pics, though... Heard last night's 309 have some troubles, they were telling the dispatcher they had alarm bells all over the place. They stopped on the main at CP Jack in Painesville, but not in a position to get shots of the engines.
