Next Friday the missus and I will close on a 3-bedroom house here in Muskogee. It's a Fannie Mae foreclosure, and we're paying a mere pittance on the property value. The place hasn't been lived in for 2 years, so it's gonna need a little work done, as well as new paint, carpeting, some new doors, bathroom tile, kitchen flooring, a couple of window panes, and a backyard that looks like a tornado hit. All during June my sons and I will be busy getting the place cleaned out (we counted 4 record players, a stack of 45 rpm records, and three boxes of old plates in the garage), carpet torn out & relaid, walls painted, and the essential stuff checked out (the central AC- gets a mite warm in Oklahoma in the summer). After this is done, I'm putting in an application with my local BLM agent (read: wife) for space for a new Frisco layout. To get what I want, I envision a lot of sweat equity (followed by a lot of ibuprofen). I don't plan on moving again any time soon- getting the missus, cats, & all our stuff up here will be quite enough.
