    Yep.

Trees with branch details in front.

Trees with clump foliage way, way in back. :)

Jamie, very nice scenery work. Those trees have sold me on going the supertree route on my layout now.

Jamie, saw a CSX "how tomorrow moves" container today and immediately "How N Scale Moves" jumped into my head :D
I'm sure you've been busy at work or with the fam, but hopefully there isn't too much dust on the layout :)

Hmmmmmmm...I do vaguely remember having a layout in the basement somewhere. :) I actually am about to fire up a new round of scenery work although I have not touched anything since June. Been out of town almost every weekend over the summer and then doing lots of outdoor stuff otherwise. Look for an update soon of the electronic variety (visiting the LHS this weekend). Jamie

Hopefully tomorrow I can get the JMRI programming done and work on some more scenery (with photos and vide to follow). Jamie

After a long break (three months?), I finally finished off some scenery I started back in July. I built a low hillbehind the tracks at the Old Allatoona Road crossing after some prototype photos revealed the road actually passes through a cut after crossing the tracks.

Now that I have the scenery in place around the grade crossing, I can work on getting the crossing signals & gates installed and working. Jamie

One more photo of the hill, this time a close-up showing how I rubbed most of the groundcover off of the face of the hill to reveal the red georgia clay that shows through just as it does on the rel thing:

After studying this photo, I am thinking about using a photo backdrop where the road disappears through the trees. Yet another addition to the "to-do" list. :)

This is just fantastic! Well done. I agree, you might experiment with some sort of photo backdrop back there, but it looks very nice as is...

All you're missing is a deer poking its head out of the trees... :D

Real nice Jamie! That cut looks great, as do the shadows from the trees on the road

Thanks for the positive feedback, gang! The update for this week contains a lot of new trees (about 40) and first glimpse of the working crossing signals:

    Hi Jamie,

Looking good. It has been a while since I was in that area, but it looks as I remember it.

I really like the operational crossing. Did you use servos or tortoises to drive the gates?
