I've seen lots of free downloads of different loco's but they're all just skin painting and a little rearanging of cosmetic pieces. What does it take to build an entirely new loco,like a Consoladation or a Hudson or some such steam loco? Does one need some sort of cad-cam program? I really don't understand the technology. Can you just build a file of pictures of the loco in question and post that? How does one do it?
They do it using wireframe models, CAD and hi end graphics programs. Kind of over my head . Can't spell either. [ 29 June 2001: Message edited by: slimjim375 ]
